This month's Loot Gaming theme was FUTURE TECH, which features the following games: Overwatch, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Prey, & Tron! Now I haven't played all of these games personally but I love the lore behind the games. Those being Overwatch and Mass Effect... my current laptop can't handle the graphics of them but my computer keeps crashing so I'm getting a new one.
Overwatch Tracer Cute But Deadly Figure
I love the character of Tracer in the game Overwatch. This game is having it's one year anniversary and according to the info poster, they hinted there meant be another exclusive next month. "After all, when it rains, it pours..." So I'm excited about that. Like really excited about that. Plus my roommate, Rose, got an Overwatch t-shirt in her LootCrate which I got and I love it!
Mass Effect: Andromeda LED Lamp
I have not played this game personally because my current laptop isn't good enough. My next laptop will be able to play it so I'm excited for that even though I've heard a mixed bag of opinions about this next installment in one of my favorite gaming series. According to what I've seen, the Pathfinders head up a recon team to explore new worlds and engage with their inhabitants whether friendly or hostile.
So if you've played this video game, please let me know what you think about it in the comments.
This was an Academy Award nominee for Best Costume Design and Best Sound in 1983. The shirt is in honor of the 35th anniversary of Tron. If you don't know about Tron, it's a classic arcade game inspired by the cult-classic movie about riding Light Cycles, going through I/O Towers, and tanks.
Prey Gaming Mat
In this game, you control a character named Morgan as they fight off a Typhon which is an alien race. Morgan uses advanced scientist equipment to take down this race. And neuromods give the player new abilities taken from the Typhon genetic code. For the gaming mat they used some concept art. My desk isn't big enough for the gaming mat but I'm going to find some place around our house.
Future Tech Coin Pin
For this month's pin, they wanted to do a nod towards future tech from retro to sci fi classics by making it a ray gun. Fun fact, ray guns were first mentioned in The War of the Worlds, a novel by H. G. Wells from 1898.
What's your favorite future tech based game?
